Easter Holy Week
March 29 - April 4
As we begin Holy Week, we invite you to join us each day with a moment of scripture, prayer, and a call to action.
We can’t wait to see you on Easter Sunday — come expectant and ready to praise the king who truly reigns.
-
A Day of Expectation
As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds lifted their voices and shouted, “Hosanna!” They were expecting a conquering king who would overthrow Rome. Instead, Jesus came riding on a donkey revealing a kingdom that would be built through humility, sacrifice, and redemption.
Often we come to God with our own expectations of how He should move. But Palm Sunday invites us to something deeper: welcoming Jesus not just as the Savior we prefer, but as the King who truly reigns.
As we begin Holy Week, take a moment to examine your heart.
* What expectations are you carrying?
* What might God want to reshape in you this week?Scripture: Matthew 21:8–9; Zechariah 9:9
Call to Action
Lean into this sacred week with us. Set aside time to reflect, pray, and prepare your heart as we remember the cross and celebrate the resurrection.Prayer: Jesus, we welcome You as our Lord and King. Help us surrender our expectations and trust Your perfect plan. Hosanna in the highest. Amen.
-
A Day of Cleansing
On Monday of Holy Week, Jesus entered the temple and drove out what did not belong. The place that was meant to be a house of prayer had slowly become crowded with distractions and compromise. With authority and passion, Jesus cleared the temple and restored its purpose.
Holy Week invites us to ask a similar question of our own hearts.
* Are there things that have quietly taken up space in the place that belongs to God?Take time today to invite the Lord to examine your heart and remove anything that keeps you from fully belonging to Him.
Scripture: Matthew 21:12–13; 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
Call to Action
Create a moment of quiet today. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that is crowding out your devotion.Prayer
Lord, search me and know me. Reveal anything in my life that does not honor You. Cleanse me from distractions, sin, and anything that competes for my attention. Make my life a dwelling place for Your Spirit and restore in me a heart that truly worships You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. -
A Day of Challenge
Jesus confronted the religious leaders, exposing hypocrisy and calling for true faith. He is still asking us today: Do we just look the part, or are we truly following Him? Let’s examine our hearts and commit to walking in genuine faith, not just outward appearances.
Scripture: Matthew 23:1–12, James 1:22
Call to Action
Invite someone to Easter Sunday!
Prayer: Father, I don’t want to just look like I’m following You…I want my heart to be fully surrendered. Reveal any hypocrisy in me, and give me the courage to live out authentic faith. May my life reflect Your ways, truth, and life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
-
A Day of Devotion
While others plotted against Him, a woman poured out expensive perfume, anointing Jesus in an act of extravagant worship. True devotion costs something: time, comfort, resources.
* How can you pour out your love for Jesus today in a way that reflects His worth?
Scripture: Matthew 26:6–13, Romans 12:1
Call to Action
Take 30 minutes and worship.
Prayer: Father, I want to love You extravagantly, just as You have loved me. Help me to pour out my time, my resources, and my heart for You without holding back. You are worthy of it all. Amen.
-
A Day of Service
At the Last Supper, Jesus knelt to wash His disciples’ feet, showing that leadership is servanthood. Who is God calling you to serve today? Whether big or small, humble acts of love reflect the heart of Jesus. Let’s live out His love through service.
Scripture: John 13:12–17, Philippians 2:3–5
Call to Action Pay it forward (act of generosity).
Prayer: Jesus, You showed us that true greatness is found in serving others. Give me a heart like Yours, willing to serve humbly and love sacrificially. Open my eyes to the needs around me, and help me to respond with action. Amen.
-
A Day of Sacrifice
Jesus bore the cross, endured suffering, and gave His life for us. Pause and reflect on the depth of His love.
* What areas of your life need to be surrendered at the foot of the cross?
Let’s take today to remember, repent, and receive His grace anew.
Scripture: Isaiah 53:4–6, John 19:16–30, 1 Peter 2:24
Call to Action Break bread with your family and share (write or post) 3 things you are grateful for.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the cross. Thank You for taking my sin, my shame, and my punishment. I surrender my life to You again today. Help me to live in the power of Your sacrifice and love. Amen.
-
A Day of Waiting
Between the cross and the resurrection, there was silence. Waiting is hard, but it’s not wasted.
* Are you in a season of waiting?
Trust that God is still working. The darkness of Saturday makes the light of Sunday even more powerful. Hold on…resurrection is coming!
Scripture: Matthew 27:62–66, Psalm 27:13–14
Call to Action 30 minutes of prayer (family, church, community).
Prayer: God, I don’t always understand the waiting, but I trust that You are at work. Strengthen my faith when I can’t see what You are doing. Help me to wait with hope, knowing that Your promises never fail. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
