Alive. Marked. United. Empowered.

  • We follow Jesus, we teach from the Bible, we worship God and see Him as a good Dad. We are a community of believers that are very passionate about the presence of God. Because of this, we have a passion for people, our valley and our world.

Our culture is shaped by declarations, worship, family, a love for the presence of God.

    • We believe that God is good & He is in a good mood.

    • We live to declare the promises of the gospel (the good news).

    • We believe that our words are powerful.

    • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

    • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

    • We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

    • We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.

    • We believe that we are to be people who partner with God in awakening our community by creating culture so that others may see Him rightly.

    • We believe that a healthy believer is the hope of the world.

  • 1- ENCOUNTERING JESUS: IS OUR MESSAGE

The purpose of Awaken Church is to see people saved (delivered, made whole, restored), invited into family, and empowered to create culture. Jesus is our message—He is perfect theology. We are relational people, not religious people. Methods will come and go, yet our message will remain the same.

There’s a significant difference between experiencing God and encountering God.

Experiencing God is like observing or living through an event—it’s something that happens to you, but there’s a sense of distance. You witness, you feel, but you remain outside the deeper reality.

Encountering God means meeting Him face to face, allowing His presence to transform you. It’s about becoming what you behold. Many of us have had a “Christian experience,” but we’ve stopped short of stepping through the door into a true encounter. Jesus is our aim. Always.

2- EMPOWERING PEOPLE: IS OUR HEART

Every person is significant in God's eyes, and therefore must become so in ours.
In Isaiah 61:1–4, the prophet declares the very mission Jesus claims as His own in Luke 4. It's a powerful passage about healing, freedom, and restoration. But look closely at verse 4—it brings us to a stunning conclusion:

“Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins, they will raise up the former devastations; they will repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.”

But who are they? Who is it the Lord is speaking about?

Not the strong or elite—but the afflicted, brokenhearted, and bound.
God chooses the broken to rebuild what’s been devastated.

The very people society rejects—and the Church sometimes overlooks—are the ones God anoints to bring restoration.
    They’re not burdens. They’re builders.

If they matter to God, they must matter to us.
And if every person is significant, then we are called to serve with that same value—believing our light shines brightest in dark places.

    3- GENEROSITY: IS OUR PRIVILEGE

Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. We’re generous with our time, talents and treasure. We go first in our giving. God has given richly towards us, it’s our honor to give back to Him. The tithe is expected.

    4- EXCELLENCE: IS OUR SPIRIT

We are going to always do the best with what we have. We’re on time, engaged and prepared. We don’t do things halfway. If we’re going to do it, it’s going to be to the best of our ability.

5- SONS / DAUGHTERS: IS OUR IDENTITY

We Are Called to Serve. Serving is central to who we are. When we operate out of love, we will always outwork those who simply work out of obligation. Knowing our identity in Christ clarifies our purpose—when you know who you are, you know what to do.

At Awaken, we believe that the greatest leadership is found in serving others. If you’re too big to serve, then you’re too small to lead. Every leader is a son first–which should translate to serving.

From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone plays a vital role. Each role may look different, but all are equally important in building God’s house. As someone has said, “If you ain’t helping, you ain’t helping!”

6- HONOR: IS ON OUR LIPS

We Are Generous with Honor. At Awaken, we freely give honor and are never stingy with our words. We speak life, encouragement, and gratitude openly and often.

We joyfully submit to the leadership and spiritual authority God has placed over us, trusting His design for our covering. At the same time, we take seriously the responsibility to honor and care for those God has entrusted to our leadership.

Honor is both upward and outward—a reflection of our commitment to building a culture that glorifies God.

    7- PASSION: IS OUR PURSUIT

Everything we do, we do it with passion. From our worship to our service, we do it with Holy Spirit Energy. Passion drives us. Passion for people. Passion for His church. Passion for Jesus.
